We made this with fruit and honey bought at roadside farm stands in northern Michigan. We also cooked it over hot campfire coals, but you could easily do it on the stove or in the oven. It’s delicious served with freshly whipped cream or plain yogurt.

Fresh fruit really shines through in this dish, which is like a crustless pie.

  • 5 ripe peaches
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup crushed pecans
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 Tbs. cinnamon

Slice the peaches, skin on, into wedges. Lightly toss everything in a skillet, large pan or baking dish. Put over hot coals or medium-high heat. Cook until the fruit is warmed, about 15 minutes. The blueberries will cook down and the peaches will soften when it’s ready.

Serve plain or with freshly whipped cream or cold plain yogurt.
