The snowpocalypse of 2011 is hitting the midwest at this very moment. If I had a fireplace, it would be roaring right now. All the wind and snow is causing some serious cravings for a warm, comforting dessert — and this does the trick.

It's like the best part of an apple pie, ready in minutes.

  • 2 apples, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 3-4 Tbs. butter
  • 1 Tbs. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup nutnola (optional)

Put the cubed apples in a microwavable dish. Top with the butter and cinnamon. Microwave on high for five minutes, stopping to stir a couple times. Top with nutnola, if desired.
